Organizations and permissions
Manage workspaces, team member roles, permissions, and organization settings.
All workflows, API keys, connected accounts, and wallet credits in Fous belong to an organization rather than an individual user account.
Workspaces
In Fous Studio, you can belong to multiple organizations and switch between them seamlessly.
Switch organizations
Use the workspace dropdown at the top of the sidebar. The menu lists every organization you belong to along with your role in each workspace. Select an organization to switch your active workspace immediately.
Create an organization
To create a new workspace, open the workspace dropdown at the top of the sidebar and select Create organization (or click the plus button). Enter the organization name and accept the terms to complete creation. The creator automatically becomes the organization Owner and receives initial welcome credits.
Roles and permissions
Every member of an organization holds one of three roles:
- Owner: Full control over the organization. Only the Owner can delete the organization. Owners can manage billing and wallet credits, invite and remove members, modify roles, transfer ownership, create and revoke API keys, manage connected accounts, build workflows, and execute queries. Every organization has exactly one Owner.
- Administrator (
admin): Can manage team invitations, update member roles between Administrator and Reader, manage billing, create and revoke API keys, manage connected accounts, build and update workflows, and execute requests. Administrators cannot delete the organization. - Reader (
reader): Read-only access to organization resources in Studio. Readers can view workflows, logs, and activity, but cannot execute requests, run queries in the composer, manage API keys, change billing, or modify team settings.

Team management
Organization Owners and Administrators can manage team membership under Settings → Members:
- Invite members: Send an invitation by email and specify the assigned role (
adminorreader). Invitation tokens expire after 48 hours. - Cancel invitations: Pending invitations can be cancelled at any time before the recipient accepts.
- Change roles: Administrators and Owners can update an existing member's role between Administrator and Reader.
- Transfer ownership: The Owner can transfer organization ownership to any existing member by selecting Owner (transfers ownership) in the role dropdown. Ownership transfers immediately, demoting the previous owner to Administrator. Every organization has exactly one Owner.
- Remove members: Organization Owners and Administrators can remove members. Once removed, the user immediately loses access to organization workflows, keys, and billing. The organization Owner cannot be removed.
- Leave an organization: Non-owner members (Administrators and Readers) can remove themselves from the organization at any time from the Members list. Owners cannot leave or remove themselves; an Owner must transfer ownership to another member before leaving, or delete the organization.
Organization settings and privacy
Organization Owners and Administrators can manage organization configuration under Settings (navigating to /[orgId]/settings):
- Organization details: In the General tab, update the organization name and upload or remove the organization logo.
- AI training preferences: Toggle whether organization execution data may be used for AI model training. When disabled, organization requests are excluded from training datasets.
- Organization deletion: The Owner can permanently delete the organization. Deleting an organization stops all running executions and purges its stored action results, query responses, and connection attempts.
